STDs
What are STDs?
Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are diseases that are passed from one person to another through the exchange of bodily fluids during sexual activity. There are many STDs that we’ve known about for literally centuries and many still have no known cure.

What are the symptoms of STDs?
The range of diseases that are transmitted through sexual contact is somewhat extensive and therefore has a correspondingly large number of symptoms. Not all symptoms are related to genitalia and/or seem to correspond with reproductive functioning. If your symptoms correspond to those of any known STD, you should immediately schedule an appointment with your primary care-giver to administer conclusive blood tests and other tests to determine what you have.

How to Treat STDs
Depending on the disease, modern medicine has many ways to help you reduce both the frequency and severity of symptoms. Unfortunately, not all these have cures available, and in some cases the condition will persist throughout the duration of the patient’s life. Modern therapy is aimed at treating symptoms to reduce the intensity of the symptoms, as well as sexual education so people are aware of ways to prevent the transmission of the disease to anyone else.
